MGE

Mge (Mobile Group Expenses) is a small expense calculator usefull for a group of people who decide to share expense items, and, in the end, pay their debts to each other.

Example: John, Cathy and Lenny go to Lisbon on holidays, and coose to rent a car for a one day tour sharing common expenses. They make 3 expense items:

1. In the morning, John paid 100 EUR for the rented car.
2. At lunch time, Cathy paid 50 EUR for the lunch (shared by everyone) .
3. In the afternoon, Lenny paid 15 EUR for a snack which was entirely eaten by Cathy individually, but they agreed that it would amount to their group expense accounting.

So, at the end of the day,

• Cathy owns 16.67 EUR to John,
• Lenny owns 33.33 EUR to John and 1.66 EUR to Cathy.

Mge should run on any MIDP 1.0/CLDC 1.0 device, requires no airtime, and supports the Portuguese and English languages. (Defaults to English for any locale other than Portuguese).

Know issues:

•  expenses are internally represented by 32 bit integer quantities, and minor (around 1 cent) roundoff errors, or silent overflows above 21474836 may ocurr.
